Join Floating Point Collective as they share their own development process and behind-the-scenes technology that drives their artistic practice, and discuss their Moogfest installation “Convergence.”
Catherine McCurry and Jack Kalish are Floating Point, an art and design collective that creates large-scale public installations and performative environments driven by audience participation. Their work for Moogfest is an LED-based interactive installation that invites people to work with each other and their environment to collaboratively create cityscapes made of light. The project was made possible through Moogfest’s multi-year partnership with Research Triangle Park. Floating Point’s installation was inspired by the vision expressed in RTP’s redevelopment plans: a sustainable urban community that evolves in harmony with nature.
