The Artiphon INSTRUMENT 1: Theory and demonstration

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Dr. Mike Butera, founder and CEO of Artiphon, discusses the concepts and developments that led to the creation of the INSTRUMENT 1, a musical multi-instrument that can be played like a guitar, violin, piano, drum, and many other instruments. The INSTRUMENT 1 is a musical device that invites you to use a variety of techniques and playing positions to control a limitless horizon of sounds. The INSTRUMENT 1 connects with apps on mobile devices and computers, and scales in complexity with users as they explore and invent. As part of the presentation, Jeremy Bullock (Wild Cub) and Larissa Maestro (cellist/producer) demonstrate the instrument and share their experiences. Come learn how you can design your own instruments using this new creative platform.
